Project Overview
The application is for the development of a new service area comprising a farm shop, restaurant & café, hotel/lodge, energy station (including electric vehicle energy hub and petrol filling station) and a solar PV field.
A key element of this scheme involves the delivery of the EV energy hub which will bring much needed EV rapid charging infrastructure to this section of the A303. There is a significant need for this type of facility in this location but also across the UK to meet fast growing demand.
Our Role
On behalf of Hopkins Estates Ltd. we applied for pre-application advice in 2022 and submitted a full application in 2024, which included coordinating a retail impact assessment, highways, drainage and ecology work. The application is currently pending determination with the Council.
